DIY presents… Superfood

In July and August of 2014, Superfood played three DIY presents shows across London in the space of three weeks. As one of the magazine’s illustrious Class of 2014, DIY wanted to do something special to celebrate, and give fans a physical thing they could keep to remind them of the gigs.

Stu-stu-studio!

DIY wanted whatever they created to be a true collaboration with the band, so after a few email exchanges headed into the studio to take some photos, have a chat and cook up something amazing.

Screen print is cool

With the band completing their debut album and releasing a single on the week of the first show, a hand screen printed, limited run poster ‘zine seemed the perfect thing.

The ultimate guide to the band, the Superfood x DIY ‘zine runs across 16 panels, printed in two colours on high quality stock – one side packed with exclusive photography, interviews, playlists, profiles and snippets, the other with a huge Superfood poster prime for hanging on your bedroom wall.

Alive and amplified

With only a couple of hundred ‘zines printed, DIY wanted to make sure all fans of the band could read the interview and learn more about the band. So, on the all new diymag.com, they created a special DIY x Superfood hub featuring all the words and photos from the print ‘zine, along with exclusive extra visuals and content.

Going social

To amplify further, DIY ran competitions via Twitter and diymag.com to win one of a tiny number of signed ‘zines. Fans loved it.
